AIRBUS
Airbus is an international pioneer in the aerospace industry, a leader in designing, manufacturing and delivering industry-leading commercial aircraft, helicopters, military transports, satellites and launch vehicles. Airbus is leading in diversity, talent, and is driven through technology, innovation, integration and internationalization.
Airbus operates in more than 170 locations worldwide. Most of the Companyʼs order book and growing industrial footprint now lies beyond its European borders. Such examples can be seen in aircraft final assembly lines in Tianjin, China, and Mobile, Alabama (US). The company also produce helicopters in Brazil, maintain research centres in Singapore, India, the US, China and Russia, and they run Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) hubs on five continents.
ROLLS ROYCE
Rolls-Royce is a global company, providing integrated power solutions for customers in civil and defence aerospace, marine and energy markets. They support their
customers through a worldwide network of offices, manufacturing and service facilities. In the past decade, Rolls-Royce has transformed its business.
Today, they are more global, with over half of their order book comes from the Middle East and Asia. Their portfolio has become more diversified, both through organic growth and acquisition, and they have significantly increased the revenues generated from servicing the power systems they produce.
Rolls-Royce has had a well-established presence in Malaysia for over 60 years in Aerospace, Marine and Energy businesses. Through their partners and service teams, they provide aftermarket support at various locations throughout Malaysia.
COMPOSITE TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH MALAYSIA (CTRM)
(CTRM) was incorporated on 20 November 1990 with Ministry of Finance incorporated as its prInciple shareholder. As a member of the DRB HICOM group of companies, CTRM is entrusted with a strategic role to develop high technology based industry, namely the aerospace and composites industries.
The government identified these two industries as the most crucial constituents to the future industrial growth for Malaysia. In line with this vision, CTRM started it business operations with the assemblies and manufacturing of a two-seater composites light aircraft, Eagle 150B. Today, CTRM is part of the global supply chain composites aero structures for major commercial and military aircraft manufacturers in the world. Apart from manufacturing of composites aero structures, CTRM is also providing engineering design services composites assemblies, composites R&D, manufacturing of automotive composites structures and manufacturing of defense related equipment.
Malaysian Industry - Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT)
(MIGHT) was established as an independent, industry-drive not-for-profit organisation in 1993 and operating under the purview of the Prime Minister’s Department. Under the patronage of YAB Prime Minister of Malaysia, MIGHT is governed by a Board of Directors, helmed through the joint-chairmanship of a prominent private sector personality to the Prime Minister. MIGHT is subscribed to by private and public sector membership and has no shareholder. MIGHT’s core purpose is addressing the country’s needs for growth through the accelerated use of high technology. Three main roles for MIGHT in developing high technology industries for Malaysia continues on being a consensus bulding think tank, a facilitating platform and nurturing high-tech industries via catalytic interventions programme.
MIGHT’s vission is to be renowned foresight center that integrates idea and promotes networking across a broad spectrum of individual futurists, private think tank and academic establishments.
Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA)
(MARA), or the Council of Trust for the People, an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development, was established on 1st March 1966 as a statutory body by an Act of Parliament as a result of the first
Bumiputera Economic Congress resolution in 1965.
The Council is responsible for developing, encouraging, facilitating and fostering the economic and social development in the federation, particularly in rural areas. The corporate vision is to be an outstanding organisation of trust, upholding the nation’s pride. MARA aims at spearheading the fields of entrepreneurship, education and investment to enhance equity holding of Bumiputera.
